Haggerty Jaques is delighted to be instructed to recruit a senior Commercial lawyer to join this global in-house legal team based in Leeds.
The Opportunity
This key role within the in-house legal team offers excellent prospects for development and progression going forward.
You will be advising on global commercial contracts and will have direct exposure to colleagues and stakeholders internationally.
Working alongside the head of the team in Leeds, you will have the opportunity to become increasingly autonomous and to take on greater responsibility, particularly with regard to growing the business and new workstreams.
There is a great team structure, with junior support on hand.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer (admitted in England & Wales) who has been advising on commercial contracts in a law firm or in-house legal team setting for a minimum of around five years.
This role would particularly suit a self-motivated Commercial lawyer who is eager to get involved in a new project, take on more responsibility, and is excited by the prospect of helping to grow this part of the business.
Senior Commercial lawyers with an affinity for or general interest in technology would be particularly suited to this role as it will make excellent use of AI and legal technology. Having some experience of advising clients in the financial services sector would also be very useful.
