A Key Role Within an Expanding In-House Team
This well-established and highly regarded procurement function is growing and is now looking for an experienced Legal specialist. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to shape robust contracting processes and best practice, while advising on a wide range of supplier and IT-related commercial contracts. With the business continuing its global expansion, this is a great time to join and make a real impact.
Your Role Will Include:
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial supplier contracts (including IT contracts), managing the process from start to finish.
- Providing pragmatic legal and commercial advice to senior stakeholders, clearly articulating potential risks and solutions.
- Collaborating with information security and compliance colleagues to complete due diligence on all suppliers.
- Supporting the development of contract templates, precedents, and streamlined contracting processes.
- Playing an active role in shaping the team’s legal operations and contract lifecycle management systems.
- Building excellent working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Contributing to training and process improvement initiatives across the wider procurement team.
What We’re Looking For:
- A legal qualification (LLB, CILEX, or similar), and at least 2 years’ experience working with commercial contracts, ideally with strong exposure to IT-related agreements.
- Previous in-house experience would be ideal.
- Sound understanding of key legal issues in contracting, such as data protection, intellectual property, and IR35.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and commercial awareness skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Confidence in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- An interest in legal operations or legal technology would be advantageous.
