Haggerty Jaques is pleased to represent a leading law firm in its search for a Corporate lawyer to join its highly regarded Corporate team in Leeds. The Role
As a Corporate lawyer within this team, you can expect to have a good blend of direct client contact and responsibility for your own smaller deals alongside working closely with senior lawyers on high-value and more complex matters.
This role provides exposure to a diverse client base, including both private companies and PLCs in the UK and internationally. Although based in Leeds, the team has worked on multiple multijurisdictional deals, so you can expect cross-border transactions to be a key feature of this role.
You'll be encouraged to build long-term relationships with clients and to contribute to business development activities. Collaboration is central to the firm’s approach, and you will regularly work alongside other teams to share knowledge, expertise, and opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking applications from candidates with a minimum of 5 years' PQE, ideally with broad experience across corporate law matters such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, buyouts, joint ventures, reorganisations, and corporate governance. You will be a technical specialist with a strong track record of handling complex matters and a proactive approach to your work.
