As Private Client Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of advisors who manage Hagerty UK's high-value insurance clients, ensuring we provide excellent service throughout the policy lifecycle. This role also plays a key part in driving new business sales through external networking with collectors, introducers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine leadership, commercial awareness and strong relationship-building skills. This position will have one direct report, growing to two during 2026.
What you’ll do:
- Implement a tiered servicing strategy within Private Client, enabling enhanced service levels for higher premium clients.
- Monitor and report on service standards with regular review of best practices to keep improving the service model.
- Track key performance metrics around quotes, conversion and renewal retention.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of Private Client advisors.
- Personally manage any complex or UHNW clients.
- Help build and maintain a strong new business pipeline for Private Clients.
- Attend industry, client, and partner events to represent the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key introducers, partners, brokers, and insurers.
- Work closely with marketing teams to ensure we are positioning Private Client in the best channels for lead generation and conversion.
- Work closely with product and pricing teams to enhance the Private Client offering.
- Provide insight from client and advisor feedback to help shape product, pricing and underwriting approaches.
- Support the launch and promotion of new products or proposition improvements.
Key Competencies:
- Proven experience in Private Client or High Net Worth Insurance (preferably motor insurance).
- Previous people management experience.
- Sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on business development.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

- This role can be worked from any remote location within the United Kingdom.
