Role Overview
As an Electrotechnical Engineer M/F/D, you will report to the Engineering Team Leader in Telford for a Permanent contract. The Electro Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) is taking the role in the Development Team in Telford that is part of a Global R&D Organisation.
What you will do?
- With your electrotechnical knowledge, you support the creation of test plans for the design verification.
- You accompany design verification testing and participate in the product validation process.
- You use your knowledge about Low Voltage Systems to introduce Hager in project business activity.
- You are responsible for electrical network calculation and have an understanding of network topologies especially for Low Voltage Systems / Enclosures up to 6300A.
- Your experience with the CAD tool (ideally Creo 7.0) enables you to model the designs.
- You apply Design methodologies (Design for Excellence) and follow the FMEA process.
What about you?
- You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- You have solid knowledge on applicable standards (like IEC 61439; IEC 62208, British Standard versions).
- Your first experience with device integration/system design, sheet metal, plastic part design, design of electrical busbar systems, thermal dissipation and short circuit ratings would be advantageous.
- You have a general knowledge about manufacturing processes.
- SAP and PLM tools are nothing new to you.
- You do your daily work with a hands-on mentality and a practical attitude.
- Your analytical skills in combination with your strong communication and interpersonal skills give you the ability to manage your projects independently.
