As a
Maintenance Technician M/F/D you will report to Facilities Manager in the Manufacturing based in Telfordfor a Permanent contract.
What you will do?
As a Maintenance Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment in a dynamic industrial environment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with
Health, Safety and Environmental standards , carrying out regular inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives , working closely with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules and documentation , while providing technical support and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet operational goals.
What about you?
- You hold a relevant engineering qualification
(Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3 or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering).
- You have proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment , with hands‑on expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs.
- You demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills , with the ability to read technical drawings, schematics and machine documentation.
- You are comfortable using maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment , and IT systems (including Microsoft Office and ideally SAP PM).
- You are organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment , with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- You are flexible and reliable, willing to work shifts, respond to emergencies and operate in hands‑on conditions , with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
