As a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer M/F/D you will report to the Health & Safety Team Leader in the Manufacturing based in Telford for a Permanent contract. Reporting to the H&S Manager, you’ll take a proactive, hands-on approach to improving safety, working conditions, and environmental performance. You’ll work closely with shop-floor teams and lead the implementation of practical action plans.

What you will do?

  • Ensure compliance and validate safety documentation for work equipment
  • Investigate workplace incidents and occupational health issues
  • Design and deliver engaging H&S training
  • Carry out risk assessments and specific hazard analyses eg COSHH
  • Conduct H&S audits and site inspections
  • Assist in the accreditation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Perform environmental assessments and coordinate improvement plans

What about you?

  • IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety is desirable
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Health & Safety
  • Strong knowledge of equipment compliance and corrective actions
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, with excellent communication and influencing skills
