The Supported Accommodation Team Leader is responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective service delivery within supported accommodation services.
The role focuses on staff supervision, safeguarding, operational support, and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements
- Oversee the day-to-day running of supported accommodation services, including virtual oversight where applicable.
- Ensure young people receive safe, person-centred support in line with care plans.
- Implement and monitor care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and case records.
- 2. Staff Supervision & Development
- Conduct regular staff supervisions and performance reviews.
- Carry out spot checks to ensure quality and compliance.
- Provide constructive performance feedback and coaching.
- Mentor and support new staff during onboarding.
- Identify training needs and report gaps to the Operations Manager.
- 3. Quality Assurance & Safeguarding
- Lead safeguarding practice across supported accommodation services.
- Report incidents, concerns, and safeguarding issues immediately.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed in daily practice.
- Support internal audits and external inspections.
- 4. Support to Staffing Operations
- Assist with rota planning where required.
- Provide insights on staff availability and service needs.
- Support onboarding of staff into supported accommodation roles.
- Provide practical insights for new supported accommodation launches.
- Contribute to staffing models and service design.
- Share case studies and outcome evidence to support service development.
- Assist with pilot projects and innovation initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working in supported accommodation, residential care, or similar settings.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Proven ability to supervise and develop staff.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lead by example and promote person-centred care.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Level 3/4 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience supporting Ofsted-regulated services.
- Knowledge of care planning and risk assessment frameworks.
