Today, this energy unites the people who bring the Belstaff brand to life, delivering the best products to customers old and new. We are seeking a Supervisor to join the team. The role involves working closely with and supervising the shop floor team on a daily basis, driving sales, coaching, and mentoring to achieve store sales and profit targets, and acting as a role model for sales and customer service. The position also includes training and developing the team to deliver budget goals and customer service excellence, and ensuring visual merchandise presentation reflects the brand vision and highest standards. Strong relationships with clients, the sales team, and the local business community are essential. On occasion, the role may assume some duties of Store Management when leaders are unavailable, ensuring the store operates to high standards and with operational efficiency. This role is on a 40-hour per-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE
    • To ensure the client is the main focus for staff at all times and to set a standard that exceeds the benchmark for customer service within the premium/luxury retail industry.
    • To create a dynamic and positive team environment conducive to generating sales.
    • To ensure the team is knowledgeable about Belstaff history and can communicate it to clients.
    • To stay up to date on local events and current affairs and share relevant information with the team to promote conversation with clients.
    • To develop and maintain good internal customer service with other Belstaff stores and with Head Office.
    • To effectively handle complaints in line with Company policy to exceed client expectations.
    • To maintain customer service levels that meet and exceed company expectations and anticipate client needs.
    • To be a role model for customer service standards at all times and to oversee training and coaching for senior sales and sales consultants.
    • Ensure efficiency in after-sales services and cross-sell across all product offers in store.
    • To understand Belstaff’s Brand and International positioning.
  • SALES & FINANCIAL TARGETS
    • To achieve individual and store sales targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • To monitor weekly and monthly product sell-through, assess trends of best sellers, react to stock levels, and provide commercial solutions for slow-moving stock.
    • To report daily, weekly, and monthly sales patterns to the Store Manager and propose actions based on business trends.
    • To achieve KPI targets and personal objectives set monthly, quarterly, and annually during performance reviews.
    • To optimise sales by expanding the client base and ensuring the team continually attracts new clients.
    • To encourage the team to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair in the selling process.
    • To capture customer data after each sale in line with company policy.
    • To ensure stock levels are maximised on the shop floor with clearly priced and labelled items.
    • To promote key products and maintain awareness of current press and editorial.
    • To assist in planning and coordinating in-store promotional events.
    • To motivate and encourage all sales consultants to meet targets.
  • KPIs
    • To exceed personal monthly KPIs as set by the Store Manager.
    • To assist in achieving Store KPIs on a monthly basis.
    • To meet with the team and Store Manager monthly to discuss progression in this area.
  • VISUAL MERCHANDISING
    • To ensure merchandising aligns with the Belstaff image and store objectives.
    • To ensure stock is correctly labelled, tagged, and available on the shop floor at all times.
    • To maintain stock in the best possible condition for sale.
    • To maintain understanding of VM standards and assist in remerchandising when needed.
    • Ensure high standards of housekeeping throughout the store at all times.
  • ADMINISTRATION
    • Ensure administrative tasks are completed within required timelines.
    • Understand how to complete management tasks such as sales reports, daily sales and banking sheets, HR documentation, reports, and health and safety documentation.
  • COMMUNICATION
    • Hold regular team briefings using all available communication channels.
    • Maintain flow with team and Store Management; stay aware of company communications.
  • STAFFING
    • Plan daily tasks and ensure completion.
    • Understand how to produce monthly staffing schedules that ensure coverage for high levels of customer service and sales.
  • HEALTH & SAFETY
    • Follow all company rules and HSE legislation.
    • Ensure the team is aware of and follows these rules.
  • STOCK AND SECURITY
    • All Belstaff stock is the responsibility of all teams.
    • Follow company procedures for security, cash handling, and key holding.
    • Minimise theft and protect stock on the shop floor and in back of house.
  • MISCELLANEOUS
    • Respond to reasonable requests from Management.
    • Undertake such duties as skills and experience allow and as assigned by the company.
  • DECISION MAKING AND AUTHORITY LEVELS
    • Collaborate with the Store Manager on day-to-day decisions regarding safety, profitability, and legal issues within the store.
    • May run the store in the Store Manager’s absence and be accountable for decisions.
    • Manage petty cash control.
