Make a difference every day as a Project Manager at Hafod.
This is a permanent 36 hrs full time hybrid working position with option to work 9 day every fortnight.
We're looking for a Project Manager (New Business) to join our Development team and help deliver Hafod's ambitious programme of 150 new affordable homes each year. Working alongside the Development Manager and Director of Development, you'll play a key role in identifying, assessing and progressing new housing opportunities from initial concept through feasibility, planning and approval stages.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines project management, partnership working and commercial awareness.
You'll work closely with local authorities, developers, consultants, landowners and internal teams to turn opportunities into high-quality housing solutions that make a lasting difference to people's lives.
You'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of affordable housing projects, build strong partnerships and contribute directly to Hafod's long‑term growth ambitions and commitment to providing homes people are proud to live in.
This role involves travelling independently across our sites and development opportunities as part of day‑to‑day duties.
What you’ll be doing
- Identify, appraise and progress affordable housing opportunities across Hafod's operating areas, including land acquisitions, Section 106 opportunities and package deals.
- Manage projects through feasibility and pre-development stages, including due diligence, site surveys, risk assessments and viability appraisals.
- Procure and coordinate consultants, contractors and professional advisors to support project development and planning activities.
- Prepare development appraisals, funding submissions, governance reports and programme information to support decision making and investment.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, consultants, developers and internal colleagues to ensure successful project outcomes..
