We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experiencedHousingSupport Worker to join our team covering theBridgendarea. This service provides a housing-related, floating support service for people aged 55 and over.

This is temporary role working 36 hours per week to cover a 12mth secondment opportunity

What you\'ll do

This role will be key in providing a personalised informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs. You\'ll be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy by assisting them with daily living skills to remain as independent as possible.

What you\'ll need

To be successful in this role you\'ll have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You\'ll have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You\'ll need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.

A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.

You\'ll need a full, current driving licenseand use of a vehicle.
