We are looking for an experienced and motivated electrical compliance professional to join Hafod and help keep our homes, customers and colleagues safe. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge, a passion for compliance and a customer-focused approach to make a real impact across our communities. This is a permanent, full-time position working 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
What You’ll Do
- As Compliance Officer Electrical, you’ll oversee electrical compliance across our domestic and commercial properties.
- You’ll manage key safety programmes including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), emergency lighting and fire alarm servicing, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
- You’ll provide expert technical advice, carry out post-inspections of contractor works, and undertake audits to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
- Working closely with contractors and internal teams, you’ll help ensure timely access, effective service delivery and clear compliance records.
- You’ll support the development and implementation of electrical safety policies, carry out risk assessments, monitor budgets, stay up to date with legislation and assist the Compliance and H&S Manager with procurement and contract management.
- The role includes participation in an out-of-hours rota.
What You’ll Need
- You’ll hold a recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent), alongside the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection and Testing qualifications.
- You’ll have a strong understanding of electrical regulations, health and safety requirements and landlord compliance, ideally within a housing or local authority setting.
- You’ll be confident analysing data, using IT systems and managing competing priorities in a regulated, customer-focused environment.
- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills are essential.
- A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is required.
