Caerphilly Full-Time On-site

Here for people. Here for communities. Here for you.

What is the role?

Make a real impact every day as a Registered Nurse at Hafod.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) on a busy Community providing care for residents with a dementia. The working pattern is 36.75 hours per week over 3 days with paid breaks and NMC registrations fees.

Please note: We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated nurse to join our team, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll be responsible for assessing, planning and reviewing care for residents, ensuring their wellbeing, dignity and independence are always at the heart of what you do.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll lead care staff on shift, support residents with their holistic needs and ensure care is delivered in line with professional standards and best practice.

We put people first, offering great training, supportive teams and opportunities to grow your career in care.

Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, and some shifts start early or finish late. You’ll therefore need reliable transport to and from work.

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver and lead high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with NMC standards
  • Assess, plan, implement and review care plans to meet residents’ individual needs
  • Safely administer and manage medication in line with policies and legislation
  • Lead, support and delegate to care staff to maintain excellent care standards
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and support audits and compliance requirements

You can find the full job description attached for a more detailed overview of the role.

What you’ll bring

Bring your clinical skills and compassionate nature to our dedicated nursing team. With a strong understanding of resident care and daily health needs, you will champion comfort, individuality, and dignity, truly enhancing the day-to-day lives of our residents through the high-quality care you provide.

  • A valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN)
  • A caring, professional and person-centred approach
  • Strong clinical skills including care planning and medication management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team
