We are looking for a proactive and skilled Repairs Surveyor to join our regional multi-disciplinary team. In this vital role, you will ensure our residents’ homes are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll be at the heart of our place-based approach, supporting our mission to deliver excellent housing, care, and support services. This is a full time 36hr permanent position and working flexibly in our south Wales facilities. Travel will be required for this role, and it will be essential that candidates have a full UK driving license and access to their own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing building defects and specifying cost-effective repair solutions.
  • Managing responsive repairs, voids, mutual exchanges, and disrepair cases from inspection to completion.
  • Overseeing contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money.
  • Handling damp, mould, and condensation cases with a focus on resident wellbeing.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHQS2023, HHSRS, FFHH, CDM, and other relevant legislation.
  • Providing expert technical advice to residents, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement in repairs and maintenance.

  • Excellent diagnostic, specification writing, and contractor management skills.
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, health and safety, and compliance standards.

  • Understanding and confidence using Microsoft 365 packages.

Salary of £36,972 per annum. 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) - increasing with length of service. Option to work a nine-day fortnight – have a day off every other week!
