We’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper who can hit the ground running and work independently across a varied portfolio of existing clients. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident managing their own workload, building strong client relationships, and delivering accurate, timely bookkeeping services. The role will be predominantly based at our offices near Tunbridge Wells (Goudhurst), although we offer flexible working arrangements, ideally working 25-30 hrs per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Working independently while proactively supporting clients as part of their wider team
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Managing deadlines and liaising with clients to request paperwork in good time
- Ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and compliant
About You
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally in a client-facing role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks (essential)
- Highly organised, with excellent time-management skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with a range of clients
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
- Payroll knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
