Bristol Business School comprises six subject clusters: Accounting and Finance, Economics, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Events and Tourism, Organisation Studies, and Strategy and Operations Management. These posts sit within several of these clusters.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant and expanding team of academics engaged in a broad range of research and scholarly activities promoting UWE Strategy 2030 and UWE’s research beacons, particularly digital futures, health and wellbeing, and sustainability.
About you: We are looking for passionate individuals committed to excellence in teaching and research to join Bristol Business School. We welcome applications from creative thinkers who thrive in an innovative and inclusive environment and can fully contribute to the School’s teaching, research, and external engagement activities.
You should have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline, demonstrated through holding a degree or postgraduate qualification. You should be able to teach across undergraduate and postgraduate levels and contribute to one of our research groups.
The nature of our programmes means that candidates should be confident and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller specialist modules.
To succeed in this role, you will require a sufficient depth and currency of specialist knowledge in your discipline, ideally with the ability to contribute to other related subject areas within the School, demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings, and be able to design innovative teaching materials using a technology-enhanced approach.
The focus of this post is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students through exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the School, as well as engaging in knowledge exchange, impactful research, and other activities that enhance and inform teaching delivery, design, and curriculum development.

There is 1x Lecturer post in Accounting and Finance. This is a permanent post and is full-time working on a 1.0 FTE contract. This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part-time.
