About the role

Do you have exceptional clinical research skills and want to play a pivotal role in delivering the UK’s largest prostate screening trial in over two decades? Join TRANSFORM as a Clinical Trial Practitioner / Clinical Research Nurse.

What you would be doing

  • You will be responsible for supporting participants through the TRANSFORM trial, including confirming eligibility, guidance through the consent process and providing compassionate support by phone, email and face-to-face.
  • You will also take the lead in scheduling and running clinic appointments, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Your role will involve collecting biological samples, maintaining accurate participant records, and meeting recruitment targets in collaboration with the TRANSFORM management team.
  • You will also work closely with external site teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for participants and make timely referrals to secondary care when needed.
  • You will be expected to work across multiple Imperial campuses as well as more broadly across study sites in London and the UK.
  • The role also involves travel of up to two weeks at a time.
  • In addition, there will be occasions when work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in a health or science related field, relevant vocational qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Experience working directly with patients / study participants in a clinical setting
  • Proven experience of accurate data entry and management
  • Experience of obtaining informed consent
  • Knowledge of Research Governance Framework and Good Clinical Practice
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to unexpected challenges
  • Willingness to work across sites in London and the UK
  • Willingness to travel for up to two weeks at a time and to occasionally work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends

Further Information

This role is for a full-time fixed-term contract for 24 months. There are 3 positions available. Inner London Allowance - 20% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £5,414 and a maximum payment of £8,172.
