Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Public Health in Bristol

As an enthusiastic and inspiring individual, you’ll be joining UWE Bristol’s successful, multidisciplinary Public Health academic team, leading modules and delivering high quality teaching and assessment across our MSc Public Health, the BSc Public Health Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship, and our international MSc Public Health partnership programme.

The Public Health programmes have strong synergy with our Environmental Health and Specialist Community Public Health Nursing programmes, which are co‑located within the School of Health and Social Wellbeing. This creates a collaborative and supportive environment for teaching, curriculum development, and professional education.

• Lead modules and deliver high quality teaching and assessment across the Public Health programmes.
• Play a role in curriculum development and contribute to programme design and improvement.
• Supervise student research and support diverse learners to achieve positive outcomes.
• Design and deliver engaging, inclusive, and innovative learning experiences and ensure positive student outcomes.
• Engage in scholarly or practice activity, knowledge exchange, external engagement, and academic citizenship in line with the University’s values.

• Expertise in key areas of public health practice is essential.
• Ability to teach in communicable and non‑communicable disease epidemiology and management, and health protection.
• Interest in international education and willingness to join our flying faculty to deliver teaching internationally when required.
• Commitment to maintaining academic credibility and currency through teaching excellence, research, scholarship, or practice activity, and knowledge exchange.

Based at our modern Frenchay Campus; most time on campus, with potential for remote work from home with the agreement of your people manager.

Salary: £38,784 to £58,225 per annum, Grade G/H
