Hadrian Learning Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, pro‑active and adaptable person to fulfil the role of cover supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in two excellent schools where pupils ‘behave very well, both in and out of lessons’ (Ofsted 2024). The successful candidate will have the ability to build positive relationships and engage pupils effectively to ensure they continue to learn in the absence of their usual teacher.

Staff involved in cover supervision will be expected to respond to pupils’ questions and generally support pupils in learning activities in line with schools’/trust’s policies and procedures. In addition to the cover supervisor role you will deliver either targeted maths or English support to small groups of students in Years 9 - 11, helping them to build confidence and secure key skills.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will form positive and constructive relationships
  • Consistently apply the routines and expectations of the schools
  • Be adaptable to the needs of the students
  • Has experience supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs
  • Has strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Can create a calm, structured and purposeful learning environment
