The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

To develop design engineering skills, knowledge and experience through working within the Hadley Construction Technology (HCT) team, culminating in a design role within the HadleyFRAME, Building Products or Construction Technology business units. Receiving training on construction technologies offered by the Hadley Group, developing structural design skills across the construction product range and working side by side with design engineers, technical consultants and software developers to deliver best in class product and project designs for internal and external customers.

THE ROLE

  • Proactively engage with the HCT team and associated business units, continuously developing design engineering skills, knowledge and experience aimed at Hadley’s construction products
  • Take ownership for the completion of graduate training, design tasks, and project work, with the aim of developing to be able to apply independent judgement to engineering problems.
  • Understand the limits of personal knowledge and abilities, working within these limits whilst completing continuous professional development to close knowledge gaps identified.
  • Keep management and relevant stakeholders informed of assignment progress and decisions made to ensure objectives are being met.
  • Be able to work to clear deadlines and timeframes to ensure that training and design tasks are delivered on time.
  • Have good interpersonal and relationship building skills to ensure colleague and customer interactions are supportive, clear and are fully representative of the company values.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement aimed at both product development and process improvement for both existing and new product / system ranges.
  • Gain and increase knowledge of the wider systemisation of building products.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers to assist in achieving the sales revenue plan of growth and increased market share, revenue, profit, and ROI.
  • Promote and share knowledge related to the LGSF and building products markets with both the wider team and the Group as a whole.
  • Liaise and attend site / design meetings to perform duties and aid business.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
  • Support marketing of technical data (website content, brochures, seminars, trade shows etc…)
  • Keep abreast of competitors technical offerings, and benchmark best practice.
  • Take a proactive approach towards professional development, with an aim to achieve Chartered Engineer status from a relevant Engineering Council Institution.

    Education and Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in a relevant civil / structural / mechanical engineering discipline.

  • Able to complete hand calculations with clarity.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel effectively.
  • Have a degree level knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD.
