About the Role
As a Handy Person, you’ll work closely with the Regional Maintenance Manager to ensure our sites are well taken care of, prioritising jobs as you go. You’ll support the Regional Maintenance Manager with various projects and keep an eye out for repairs and upgrades needed around the nurseries.
What does the role involve?
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the nursery, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
- Ensure outdoor play areas are safe and well-maintained.
- Perform regular health and safety checks, reporting any issues to the Nursery Manager.
- Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for activities and events.
- Support with light gardening, keeping the nursery grounds neat and tidy.
- Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Nursery Manager to schedule and prioritise tasks.
