As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Hadean, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting‑edge dominAI platform. You will be the primary QA resource for the dominAI product team, responsible for embedding quality practices throughout the development lifecycle, from initial story refinement to final deployment. This role is perfect for a QA generalist who excels in the early stages of development, helping to define and clarify acceptance criteria and crafting comprehensive test plans. You will work in close collaboration with the QA engineer in our other product team. While you will each be responsible for the end‑to‑end quality for your respective teams, you will collaborate on cross‑team initiatives, review each other's work and provide mutual advice. While you will bring a strong focus on test planning and analysis, you will also need a solid foundation in test automation and infrastructure to contribute to our fast‑paced, automation‑first environment. Looking ahead, as our engineering team grows, there is a clear opportunity for this role to evolve into a leadership position, shaping the future of our QA team and practices. Applicants should be prepared to attend our office in Shoreditch once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and implement QA best practices within the dominAI product team.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers during story refinement to define clear and testable acceptance criteria.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for our distributed systems.
- Contribute to the testing of our machine learning and LLM‑based technologies.
- Work closely with the development team to identify, triage, and resolve defects.
- Manage and maintain testing environments and infrastructure, leveraging Kubernetes.
- Drive the continuous improvement of our QA processes and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with other QA engineers to build a cohesive QA function.
- Contribute to release planning and risk assessment.
Skills required:
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a QA engineer/analyst.
- Proven experience in a QA role with a strong emphasis on test planning and requirements analysis.
- Solid experience in test automation for complex, distributed systems.
- Demonstrable knowledge of testing front‑end applications (React, TypeScript) and back‑end services (Node.js).
- Experience in setting up and managing test environments, particularly with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with QA for machine learning projects, including automated testing for LLM‑based technology.
- A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Good understanding of the role of quality in an LLM assisted team.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Vetted status to at least SC level.
Skills desired:
