The predicted salary is between 32000 - 40000 £ per year.

Reporting to Had-Fab's Detailing Supervisor, with support from the Head of Engineering, you'll produce clear and accurate drawing packages for the manufacture and installation of structural steelwork.

You'll work closely with Had-Fab's Design, Estimating, Project and Workshop teams, ensuring every drawing is practical, precise and suitable for our manufacturing capabilities.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Interpreting client engineering drawings, architectural plans and technical specifications.
  • Using Tekla Structures to create detailed 3D models.
  • Detailing substation support structures, access platforms, stairs, gantries and other structural steelwork.
  • Preparing General Arrangement drawings for client approval.
  • Creating assembly and individual part drawings for manufacture within Had-Fab's facilities.
  • Producing clear erection drawings to support steelwork installation.
  • Preparing accurate material and bolt lists for Had-Fab's Estimating and Procurement teams.
  • Importing CAM and BIM information into Strumis ERP.
  • Carrying out material nesting and preparing workshop work orders.
  • Raising technical queries and maintaining accurate project TQ registers.
  • Conducting site visits and surveys when required.
  • Checking drawings, providing constructive feedback and helping maintain Had-Fab's high standards.
  • Working with the Estimating team to create preliminary material listings for new projects.

Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures and Auto CAD.

Technical knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Experience producing structural steelwork drawings for manufacture and erection.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to engage positively with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

Confidence managing your own workload and delivering on commitments.

The ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
