At Had‑Fab, we are seeking a driven and ambitious Graduate Engineer to join our expanding Engineering team. Working closely with our Senior Design Engineers, you will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality structural and civil engineering design packages, ensuring projects are completed to client specifications, industry standards, and agreed deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise and gain hands‑on experience across a diverse range of projects within a supportive, fast‑paced, and forward‑thinking environment.
The Role
- Develop structural and civil engineering design packages in line with client requirements and Had‑Fab standards
- Manage your own portfolio of projects to meet programme deadlines and technical expectations
- Produce structural and connection design models and reports using software such as SCIA Engineer, IDEA StatiCa, or equivalent
- Assist in the development of 3D production models and technical drawings
- Collaborate closely with detailing, fabrication, and production teams to ensure designs are safe, efficient, and cost‑effective
- Support nationwide site visits and surveys, carrying out technical assessments where required
- Ensure all designs comply with current regulations, Eurocodes, client specifications, and CDM requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and design processes
- Provide technical support across departments and help solve engineering challenges throughout project delivery
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Technical Skills- MEng Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (BEng considered)
- A willingness to work towards professional chartership (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of structural steelwork design
- Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), ideally using SCIA Engineer and IDEA StatiCa
- Familiarity with 3D CAD/detailing software, preferably Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and reports
- Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and Eurocodes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Positive, proactive, and solution‑focused attitude
- Comfortable collaborating across teams and departments
