About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sales Advisor / On Shift Duty Manager to join our team at our prestigious fine wine and spirits store in Central London. You will work closely with the Assistant Manager and General Manager to uphold the store's reputation for exceptional customer service and promote our exceptional range of single malt whiskies, spirits, fine wines, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised and attentive service to customers, offering expert product knowledge and recommendations tailored to their preferences.
- Assist in maintaining the store's luxurious atmosphere and high visual merchandising standards, ensuring all products are presented elegantly and attractively.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment with professionalism and discretion.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, answer enquiries, and address any concerns or feedback they may have.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, including restocking shelves, organising displays, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager and General Manager to execute in-store tastings, events, and promotions, contributing to the overall success of marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new product releases, and competitor activities to enhance customer interactions and sales opportunities.
- Ensure exceptional standards of housekeeping on and off the shop floor.
Key Requirements
- Minimum WSET Level 2 or above in Spirits and/or Wine (Essential)
- Strong passion for and knowledge of whisky, fine spirits, champagne, and wine, with a desire to continuously learn and expand expertise.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. The shop is open 7 days a week.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A background in high hospitality is also desirable.
