3 X Part time Posts – 11 hours per week - Term Time Only (Contract is 39 weeks in a year)

Please Note: Salary we have used is for 36 hours, this role is 11 hours Term Time, so the annual salary could be within the ranges shown below with Continuous Service taken into consideration

  • Minimum (Under 5 years service): £6,960.00 (based on 515.2 paid hours).
  • Maximum (Over 5 years service): £7,108.59 (based on 526.2 paid hours). These figures use an hourly rate of £13.5093

Responsibilities

Join the Council’s School crossing patrol service and contribute to the safety and welfare of Hackney’s residents. You will help school children and anyone who requires assistance get to where they need to go, and serve as a face of the council being based at a fixed position each day and getting to know the local community.

The vacant posts are based at All Saints, Hoxton and St John the Baptist. These posts are preferable for candidates to live within a reasonable travelling distance (no more than 30 minutes walking distance) of the sites.

The post is part time, working an hour shift at the start and finish of the school day. You will need to travel to your locally assigned site and maintain consistency of service in all weathers.

Full training and uniform is provided.

Qualifications

Employment will be dependent on passing a full medical check provided by our Occupational Health services, clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and receipt of completed references. An understanding of the rules for road users and pedestrians is required.
