ABOUT HACKNEY GELATO:

Ciao! We are Hackney Gelato. Founded by Sam and Enrico, two chefs who grew up in Italy, we are passionate about delivering authentic Italian gelato into restaurants, delis, cafes and shops across the land. We make all our gelato and sorbetto in small, carefully crafted batches. We’re proud to do things properly, just like the master gelatieri taught us. We’re looking for someone to join us as a National Account Executive (In Home). The successful applicant will report directly to the Sales Director and should be ready to take on the challenge of bringing the very best gelato to the masses.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The key purpose of this role is to undertake key administrative tasks both for customers and internally, supporting during the peak season with new customers coming on board and expanding sales with our current customer base.

You’ll look after:

  • Support within the In-home channel (including Grocery, On Demand and Export).
  • Support with new launches and customers – all admin (forms, set up).
  • Working with marketing to ensure all trade marketing is submitted/activated as agreed.
  • Store visits/compliance – for promotions, new launches, new customers – owning and updating store check reports.
  • If experience allows, own and update the monthly category snapshot for the team.
  • Support with building out customer sales decks.
  • Weekly review/analysis by customer (where EPOS available).
  • Review of customer sales data to highlight any risk/opportunity in month vs. budget/reforecast.
  • Monthly forecasting by account. Review of prior month’s volumes and highlight any trends to factor into forecasts. Support forecasting for SD.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level or equivalent.
  • Numerically astute.
  • Excellent understanding & experience of the UK food industry working with brands.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Grocery and on-demand channel.
  • Experience with managing customers directly.
