We are looking to appoint a Room Leader. We seek a candidate with strong leadership and management skills, and experience in a childcare setting is essential. Requirements include:
- A qualification in Childcare and Education Level 3 or above.
- Post-qualification and supervisory experience are desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, as the centre operates a shift system.
Primary duties include:
- Supervising staff within your room.
- Supporting colleagues in developing practice according to the EYFS.
- Staff deployment.
- Ensuring staff are up-to-date with planning, reviews, and assessments.
- Attending room leader meetings and participating in middle leadership team.
- Being responsible for opening and closing the building in the absence of the Childrens Centre and Early Years Lead and SCCO.
- Collaborating with professionals such as Health Visitors, Educational Psychologists, Social Workers, Speech Therapists, and the Senior Leadership Team as needed.
