12 Months Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity. This role includes late night, evening and weekend work on a rota basis, so flexibility with working hours is essential. We are seeking to recruit 1 full‑time and 1 part‑time Events Manager to manage the sales, coordination, operation and delivery of a range of commercial, private and internal events at currently four venues within the Borough.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, handling initial enquiries, leading site visits, and managing all pre‑planning activities up to event delivery.
- Ensure safe operation during event hire periods, adhering to health and safety legislation and licensing law.
- Collaborate closely with the Venues & Events Manager, Buildings Manager, and other internal stakeholders such as facilities, parks and registration services.
- Maintain and improve customer service standards, working with a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications and Experience
- Substantial and relevant experience in event management of large‑scale bookings in a venue, ideally covering both administration and operations.
- Familiarity with planning and delivery of a range of events, including health and safety requirements such as risk assessments and fire safety.
- Experience in team and people management.
- Proficiency in event‑based administration, including diary systems, client databases and invoicing procedures.
