As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team at the Park Royal branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade customers, including builders, contractors, and developers
- Identify new business opportunities and drive area growth
- Regularly visit customer sites and manage key accounts
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy
- Report sales activity, pipeline, and KPIs to management
- Be available outside standard hours on occasion to support key customer needs and urgent account matters
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery
Requirements
- Proven sales experience within the Builders Merchants or construction supply sector
- Strong knowledge of building materials and local construction markets
- Knowledge and experience in purchasing from both first- and second-tier suppliers to ensure full order management through to approval
- Proficient in Bistrack or other merchant-based ERP systems
- Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking customer engagement and pipeline
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and professional
- Full UK driving licence; local area knowledge of West London and surrounding counties preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
