Overview: Room Leader for Hackney Education’s Comberton Children’s Centre. Work to create a safe, healthy, supportive learning environment for children, supporting the centre’s commitment to inclusive and high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the room and practitioners on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with the Teacher and Senior Children’s Centre Officer to develop and monitor a quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with outstanding practice standards and meets the needs of a culturally diverse community.
- Support staff and children in the Forest School area; training to be provided if required.
- Work flexible hours within the centre’s shift system, maintaining a stable and supportive environment for families and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ3 qualification or above in childcare or equivalent.
- Significant professional experience working in a culturally diverse educational childcare setting.
- High level of interpersonal skills and outstanding knowledge of curriculum design and delivery.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as per shift schedule.
