Responsibilities

You will be joining Hackney Council at a key time, where you will be encouraged to help enable our service to support our Directorates in meeting the needs of our residents. You will be delivering on key aspects of the People & OD Strategy and you will be working closely with other members of the team to deliver on the objectives of our strategy. This is an exciting time to join our OD & Employee Experience team. You will be responsible for leading the council-led mid-career apprenticeship programmes, providing pastoral support to apprentices, and supporting the OD&EE team with people development initiatives. You will monitor apprentices’ progress, supporting them and their line managers to understand their learning gaps and helping them align with suitable learning initiatives either through apprenticeships or by signposting them to other learning initiatives.

Your supplier management skills will be required to liaise with training providers to ensure that apprentices are enrolled in courses promptly and that all necessary paperwork including apprenticeship agreements and learner contracts is complete. Gathering regular updates from training providers including apprentice progress reviews, resolving issues, or signposting where appropriate – you will maintain an overview of any management issues, liaising with managers, HR and OD, and other council services to ensure that any areas of concern or personal needs are quickly addressed to support placements being sustained.

Qualifications

If you have experience in successfully providing a range of Organisational Development Services at both strategic and operational levels, understanding the business and implications involved, and then providing practical OD support, then we would like to hear from you.
