The Role Senior Data Scientist
You’ll be part of the Operations Delivery Intelligence directorate, delivering high‑value data science solutions that improve business performance and decision‑making. This team plays a key role in enabling the airline to use advanced analytics, machine learning and data‑driven insight to support critical business decisions and deliver measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver and manage data science projects from scoping through to delivery
- Scope and structure complex, ill‑defined business problems and develop solutions aligned to business goals
- Acquire, process and analyse large and complex datasets to create high‑quality model inputs
- Design, build and test data science products such as predictive models, optimisation tools and decision‑support systems
- Extract insights from data, identifying trends and patterns and providing actionable recommendations
- Work with software teams to productionise models and deliver application outputs
- Translate analytical results into clear, actionable recommendations
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on how data science solutions improve business outcomes
- Work within cross‑functional business and Digital teams
- Manage, improve and decommission existing data science products to ensure ongoing value
- Monitor industry trends and data science use cases
- Ensure adherence to frameworks, model compliance and ethical standards
- Develop, maintain and share best practice
- Coach and mentor other team members
- Provide ad hoc team cover when required
