Overview: hackajob is collaborating with Wise to connect them with exceptional tech professionals for this role. Wise is a FinTech company moving billions of GBP of customer money in over 70 countries. We need bulletproof reporting on and insights into our Treasury operations to support timely and accurate reporting, critical controls, and investigations into inefficiencies and improvement areas in our money movement network.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Curating datasets, surfacing metrics, sizing opportunities, and deeper dive analysis to discover inefficiencies and optimise the team’s approach to money movement.
- Building and maintaining critical data pipelines.
- Hunting down and diagnosing unusual behaviour or anomalies with our trades and payments.
- Liaising with FX, Liquidity and Operations teams to understand how to improve processes to achieve lower costs and risks.
Who You Are:
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience building data pipelines.
- Strong analytical ability.
- 3-5 years experience in similar roles.
- Data visualisation and storytelling ability.
- Ability to self organise and manage stakeholders.
- Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements.
- Python/R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, understanding of variance and testing, some regression modelling).
Desirable:
- DBT.
- Data modelling in a warehouse context.
- Experience working with financial or payments data.

What Do We Offer:
- Salary: £60,000 - £75,000.
