The Opportunity
Advising clients on their most complex sustainable infrastructure challenges is a core focus for EY, spanning multiple sectors and competencies. We are focused on growing our sustainable infrastructure programme and large-scale transformation delivery across our wide range of clients within Government, Transport, Energy and Utilities, Housing and Telecommunications. We want people who are passionate about sustainability and climate change and who are keen to help clients realise decarbonization and energy transition ambitions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the definition of project scope, outcomes and deliverables, and delivering high-quality work as part of a wider team
- Analysing complex organisation, workforce and change issues associated with infrastructure delivery and translating these into clear, insight-driven recommendations
- Supporting stakeholder engagement and collaborating across EY teams
- Coordination and facilitation of client meetings and workshops
- Bringing fresh thinking and contributing ideas to enhance EY’s People Consulting service offerings
- Staying informed on Infrastructure market, technology, and people-related trends, and sharing insights across the team
- Engaging actively in the EY Change Community and contributing to an inclusive, high-performing team culture
- Building trusted client relationships that contribute to enhancing EY’s brand and reputation
- Providing guidance, coaching and on-the-job support to junior staff
- Contribute to business development activity in Infrastructure, including development of proposals in response to tender opportunities
- Supporting internal practice development across infrastructure and workforce change
- Demonstrating EY values through day-to-day behaviours and contributing to the EY Infrastructure community through active engagement, attending community events & seeking to drive learning & cross-service line collaboration to create an inclusive high-performing team culture.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- An understanding of, and interest in, the UK Infrastructure sector
- Experience working in industry, government or a management consultancy environment
- Experience contributing to change management approaches that improve performance, engagement, and adoption
- Ability to work at pace, managing multiple priorities and deliver well under pressure
- Comfortable working in virtual and hybrid environments
- Strong communication and internal and external (client) stakeholder engagement skills
- A collaborative mindset, particularly in supporting and developing junior colleagues
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility with clients and colleagues
- Knowledge of one or more of the following sectors is preferred: Energy, Government, Transport, Power and Utilities
- Awareness of relevant technologies and their organisational implications, including ERP systems, AI, data, RPA, IoT, and people-experience technologies
To Qualify For The Role, You Will Need
- This role is available in our EY London, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds offices
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
- Relevant experience within the infrastructure sector, with specific experience in one or more sub-capabilities (e.g. business change strategy development and delivery, organisation design, workforce planning)
- Experience working on business transformation or organisational change projects (in consulting or in-house)
- Ability to support delivery of the end-to-end change management lifecycle, with previous experience in key change deliverables; change strategy & approach, change impact assessment, learning needs analysis, training approach, stakeholder engagement, communications, business readiness assessments
