KPMG is currently seeking a Senior SAP S/4 Procurement Manager to work with the appropriate KPMG resources from other service lines/industries. The role involves facilitating goal-level creation for the Project Management/PMO function and working with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all grades.

Proven ability to prioritise issues and multitask in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Resolve problems quickly and effectively using creativity and innovation. Track record of working with onshore, offshore and third-party teams to source relevant expertise to deliver solutions. Manage customers where up to 50% of your time may include travel.

Key accountabilities:

  • Quality
    • Oversee management of engagements according to KPMG’s financial and risk management policies.
    • Deliver engagements on time and within the engagement profitability targets.
    • Manage scope and deliver timely and quality deliverables.
    • Communicate risk and issues early to Leaders as appropriate.
    • Execute projects to a level that meets member firm’s quality standards within a commercial context.
    • Contribute towards creating innovative and repeatable solutions that strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.
    • Hold reviews on completion of projects to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.
    • Input into creation of innovative and repeatable solutions that strengthen business performance and differentiate KPMG from our competition.
  • People
    • Supervise and performance-manage KPMG staff working on assigned engagements.
    • Foster and develop junior and mid-level talent resources across all functions.
    • Ensure team accurately charges time to engagement codes to see true value of work delivered and to recognise individual/team effort.
    • Meet deadlines throughout the performance cycle both for personal development and appraisees, ensuring quality feedback is requested, goals are set and monitored, and providing feedback on engagement reviews.
    • Identify development needs of team and provide coaching, mentoring and stretch assignments to attract, develop and retain our most talented colleagues.
    • Effectively support and manage under-performance, in line with local guidance and policies.
    • Take action to ensure wellbeing matters are properly handled and resolved by demonstrating empathy and awareness of team.
    • Actively share knowledge with other KPMG colleagues/teams and contribute to the development of knowledge resources.
    • Manage onboarding of new starters, including buddy responsibilities.
  • Public trust
    • Ensure team completes all mandatory and regulatory training required by member firm by the due date.
    • Do not undertake work that does not fit with firm capabilities or risk management criteria.
    • Undertake the appropriate training and coaching in line with member firm requirements.
    • Pro-actively take action to avoid personal independence breaches.
    • Take action and speak up if you observe and/or are made aware of conduct that is inconsistent with KPMG’s values and ethical standards.
