Location: Home based with travel to client sites

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SAP BTP Lead to join our team to be responsible for designing and delivering solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform. This role provides technical leadership across extensions, integrations, automation, and AI services while ensuring clean‑core principles and strong platform governance. You’ll collaborate with business and technical teams to drive innovation, modernize architectures, and maximize value from SAP’s cloud technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of solutions using SAP BTP services such as SAP Build, Integration Suite, Event Mesh, AI Core, and HANA Cloud.
- Define clean-core extensibility strategies for S/4HANA and SAP cloud applications.
- Guide teams in building custom apps, workflows, automations, and side-by-side extensions using CAP/RAP and low-code tools.
- Own integration and API strategies leveraging BTP Integration Suite (APIs, OData, REST/SOAP, event-driven patterns).
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring developers and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Manage BTP governance including subaccount design, entitlements, security, cost optimization, and DevOps/transport processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, enterprise architects, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (GenAI, Build Code, Event Mesh, etc.) and deliver PoCs to demonstrate business value.
- Support presales activities including solutioning, demos, estimations, and proposal development.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP services: Integration Suite, SAP Build Apps/Process Automation, Event Mesh, AI Core, and Cloud Foundry/Kyma.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, extensibility models, and clean-core principles.
- Expertise in API design, integration technologies, and cloud development (CAP, RAP, Node.js, Java).
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAS/IPS, OAuth, XSUAA) and security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, deployment automation, and cloud operations.
- Proven leadership, mentoring experience, and strong communication skills.
- SAP certifications in BTP, Integration Suite, or related domains are preferred.
