Your Impact
We aren't just a traditional spares and repairs support business, we cover a wide range of activities that gives the Customer a leading edge in their arenas. This role is within our Customer Support & Service Solutions (CS3) line of business covering fast jet and several other In Service platforms.
You will manage a Quality team that works on Defensive Aids System and Radars for the Typhoon fighter jet as well as supporting equipment for Merlin, Wildcat and Wedgetail platforms. As the Quality Manager you will lead a small team of Quality professionals, supporting CS3, to ensure quality is maintained throughout the lifecycle. You will play a critical role in supporting the drive for a culture of Operational Excellence with a keen focus on the use of data to support continuous improvement.
What Will You Do As Quality Manager
- Identify the specific Sector and Programme risks, threats and opportunities that the Quality Manager will manage and support.
- Agree Project Quality Plans (PAP) at both the Programme and Project level defining project assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity and Improvement to support the Programme and associated Projects.
- Provide support on other traditional contributions from the Quality Manager, for example:
- Management of Customer complaints
- Defect management including Management plan for the continued reduction in the cost of failure utilising effective tools, techniques and reporting
- Focussed and targeted internal assessment plan
- Work in conjunction with the Supplier Quality team on the creation of a specific Supplier Management Plans.
- Deliver programme specific assessment plans which helps the Programme Manager focus on and resolve Programme risk and realise opportunities.
- Ensure the provision of Assurance expertise and capability to the various projects and programmes.
What Youâll Bring
- Demonstrable experience in the effective implementation of Quality Tools & Techniques in support of driving a âRight First Timeâ approach.
- Proven experience in positively influencing behaviours at individual and team level in a multi-functional environment.
- The ability to listen, as well as challenge across a diverse product and project portfolio.
- Degree educated or equivalent work experience gained in an Operational, Engineering or Quality field.
- A good level of working knowledge in the application of AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
- Demonstrable skills in root cause analysis which supports a culture of continuous improvement.

Security Clearance
This role will require National Security Vetting to SC level. It is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. A range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) will apply, this will include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
