hackajob is collaborating with Wise to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role. Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.
We move 5% of the world’s money. A card payment first passes through our fraud and authentication engines, determining if it’s safe to process. This is managed by the Cards Pay-in Authentication team, the sister team to Orchestration.
Responsibilities- Define the multi-year vision for our orchestration infrastructure to move from static rules to dynamic, machine-learning routing, working with engineers and analysts to deliver this vision.
- Ensure payments are fully optimised to be routed between our acquirers, adjusting for regional and issuer level differences.
- Manage the acquirer portfolio to support the growth of card pay-ins via new markets, card schemes and product types such as e‑commerce payments.
- Keep acquirer costs as low as possible for our customers, balancing performance with the cost of acquiring.
- In crafting the strategy and roadmap for Orchestration, you’ll balance the opportunities against the regulatory, compliance and engineering needs of the domain.
- At least 5+ years experience in a Senior Product Manager role, having implemented successful product strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Highly analytical, comfortable using data—both quantitative and qualitative—to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives and refine strategy.
- Demonstrated collaboration with engineers and analysts to successfully launch new features or products, or to make significant improvements to existing products.
- Experience working closely with back‑end engineers and comfortable making technical trade‑offs to deliver faster for customers.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and unknowns, bringing structure, focus and direction to complex situations.
- Specific experience working with card payments (acquirers, orchestrators or card schemes).
- Experience managing complex, high‑throughput back‑end systems where real‑time decisioning and data normalization are critical (e.g., Payments, Ad‑tech, Logistics, or Trading).
