As a Product and Proposition Manager, you will own the lifecycle of finance admin delivery through embedded services products that shape the user experience for our business clients when using our digital channels. You will drive collaboration across our internal teams and with external partners to enable rapid scale and differentiated customer value. You will bring a commercial mindset, unlocking higher digital engagement, greater product holdings, and improved customer primacy through the delivery of regulatory‑ready solutions powered by real‑time Barclays transaction data.
We are particularly interested in external candidates with considerable traditional Product Management experience from Tech, SaaS or FinTech organisations, who can bring disciplined product discovery, roadmap ownership, data‑led prioritisation and proven experience scaling customer‑facing digital propositions.
To be successful as a Product and Proposition Manager, you should have experience with:
- Product ownership in Business Admin tools/journeys (Embedded Services) and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys.
- Developing the product strategy, driving change through Barclays execution teams, making key decisions in the product lifecycle and owning associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.
Accountabilities include:
- Development of customer level strategies, managing and maintaining policies/processes; delivering continuous improvements and escaping breaches of policies/procedures.
- If managing a team, defining jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes.
- Leading a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
