The Risk and Compliance team within extended (x WS) workforce is responsible for ensuring that Google complies with all laws and regulations applicable to its contingent workforce globally.
The team does this by identifying and assessing risks, setting requirements, designing and assessing controls, ensuring governance, and conducting testing and auditing.
Risk and compliance equips, enables, and empowers Googlers to achieve success while protecting Google's brand and reputation.
The team is a second line of defense at Google, working with other teams to ensure that Google is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
You will be a subject matter expert in the policy and advisory team within extended workforce risk and compliance.
A significant menu of services is to enable Alphabet businesses through consultation using deep subject matter expertise in order to reach business solutions that meet appropriate risk and compliance expectations.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in compliance, trust and safety, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
- Experience leading risk and compliance projects globally.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience organizing data and applying business context to improve processes or operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as a compliance subject matter expert who owns policies for extended workforce at Alphabet.
Manage inventory of policies, guidelines, training content for extended workforce risk and compliance subjects.
- Consult and advise Alphabet product areas and cross-functional areas on x WS Compliance policies, including approval of exceptions or addenda to the current policy library.
Draft new policies as needed and work with appropriate business and cross-functional areas to implement.
- Interpret policies and guidelines to enable business acquisitions and mergers.
- Respond to inquiries on x WS Compliance policies and trend inquiries to understand what changes to policies may be required.
- Design compliance training content and provide ad hoc training to stakeholders as necessary.
Liaise with the central Policy team (Risk, Compliance and Integrity or \"RCI\") to ensure the x WS policy framework is aligned with central policy teams.
