Purpose of the role: To support the organisation, achieve its strategic objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities.

Accountabilities:

  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

Join us as a Trials Manager to help shape and build enhancements and improvements upon one of our newly launched Android and legacy products. You will look after and help shape the development, user experience and user interfaces on a range of POS card acceptance terminals. Each new software released will deliver new features and enhancements that will undergo User Acceptance Testing and production field before signing off into BAU. You will work closely with stakeholders, developers and product owners to understand their requirements and must demonstrate the ability to challenge and provide recommendations where appropriate whilst managing trials analysts who are undertaking UAT and trial monitoring.

To be successful as a Trials Manager, you should have experience with:

  • High level of Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to understand technical reference documents.
  • Experience in UAT/UI/UX reviews, testing and improvements.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Satisfies the FCA criteria for an approved person, both initially and on-going.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Working knowledge of mPOS/PDQ/POS/EPOS products.
  • Working knowledge of APACS, EMV & Card Scheme Rules & Regulations.
