We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, AI/ML Engineer – AI Hub to join our AI Hub team. This role is located in Manchester.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Build and integrate AI/ML components on BNY’s AI platform ELIZA: data pipelines, retrieval/inference workflows, evaluation scripts, automation steps.
  • Translate requirements into implementation details, test plans, and sprint‑ready tasks.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to validate outputs, improve quality, and prepare for production.
  • Debug APIs, data flows, prompts, and workflow breakpoints with strong observability.
  • Participate in solution design sessions; align implementations to secure, reference architectures.
  • Prepare demos; contribute to client/internal workshops; document clearly.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s in AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands‑on engineering experience in ML/AI, software, or data engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python; familiarity with REST/GraphQL, vector stores, RAG basics, evaluation tooling.
  • Experience in agile/pod teams with strong documentation and collaboration habits.
  • No people leadership (individual contributor role).
