Skills and Competencies
Minimum 10 years of hands-on Vertex O Series 9.0 implementation and support experience, with configuration expertise in SAP Financial Accounting, Vertex Accelerator, and Vertex O Series 8.0 and 9.0
Experience with SAP integrations with Vertex, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Distribution, and Intercompany Invoicing, as well as configuring and troubleshooting SAP Integration Component tax mappings
Experience supporting global tax implementations across US, Canada, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Brazil, and India, including greenfield implementations, cutover, hypercare, and production support
Functional understanding of Sales and Use Tax, VAT/GST, tax exemptions, multi-jurisdiction determination, and global tax matrices, including direct and withholding tax concepts
Experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, e-invoicing, and Continuous Transaction Controls, including country-specific mandates such as Peppol, LATAM, and India GST
Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms; experience developing and conducting end-user trainings
