Job Description
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will drive high‑impact architecture and lead massive cross‑team collaboration efforts. Your core focus will include designing platform architecture, reducing complexity, defining standards, and providing technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture: Drive the technical vision to decouple our core payment processing platform from external‑facing partner APIs, empowering teams to innovate independently.
- Reducing Complexity: Ensure integration interfaces expose only required and actionable information, thereby reducing complexity for users.
- Defining Standards: Establish clear contracts for internal platform integration and build standardized, scalable solutions for platform partners.
- Technical Leadership: Lead cross‑team projects and contribute to architecture decisions, including writing architecture decision records.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- A strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills to drive cross‑team projects.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player and frequently engaging in cross‑team efforts.
- The ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value.
- Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
- Adherence to and advocacy for best coding practices, continuous delivery, and code reviews.
- A proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Good discipline and skill in producing written documentation and diagrams.
