Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Min fees. Max ease. Full speed.
Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money. As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.
The Dynamic Flow team is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to support our mission to make building high quality cross-platform features as quick and simple as possible. We do this through expanding and maintaining our in-house server driven UI framework, Dynamic Flow, which allows teams to build features once on the backend and deploy them across our native iOS and Android apps, and our React apps on the web.
This is an opportunity to work on a central part of our tech stack - in 2025, almost 1.2 billion page views across over 1,000 unique product screens were powered by Dynamic Flow, including key areas such as onboarding, sending money, payment methods, and many more. As well as helping to shape and build the library itself, you'll work directly with product engineering teams to support them in using it to bring best-in-class experiences to our customers across the world.
What will you be working on?
- Contributing to Dynamic Flow, our in-house server driven UI framework, across the core specification, backend library, and web client.
- Helping to drive the future direction of the framework and server driven UI at Wise.
- Supporting teams in effectively using the framework to deliver high-quality features to our customers.
- Working directly with product engineering teams to implement new user experiences across all areas of the product.
- Working on tooling to improve the developer experience for engineers at Wise.
- Evangelising the framework through outreach at events, talks, and workshops.
- Acting as a mentor and strong example for other engineers and members of the team.
What do you need?
- Hands-on experience in backend development with Java and Spring Framework in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience in developing web applications with TypeScript and React in a production environment.
- Product mindset - you think about customer impact, not just technical implementation.
- Following and advocating best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviews.
- Strong communication style, working across multiple functions. Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Have
- Experience with Kotlin.
- Experience working with or within server driven UI frameworks.
- Experience working in developer tooling or other developer-focused products.
- Experience building iOS or Android apps.
- Experience working closely with designers and design systems.
- Good understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- A passion for building platforms and tooling with great developer experiences.
