Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. We’re on a mission to make money without borders—instant, transparent, and eventually free. We’re a team of people who are passionate about building the financial infrastructure of the future. The newly created Credit team is at the frontier of this mission, tasked with exploring how transparent and fair credit can empower our customers to manage their global financial lives more effectively.

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Manager, Credit to join the Spend Squad and shape the future of our first credit products. In this role you’ll partner closely with a high performing global team consisting of the product lead, engineers, data scientists and designers to deliver a world class credit product. You will be expected to be hands on with the data and grow a small team of analysts as the product scales.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Data Science to challenge and stress-test credit risk modelling assumptions for our SME customers (including scenario and sensitivity testing), ensuring decisions are robust and explainable.
  • Leverage market insights and publicly available data on SME finance to help validate our modelling and decisions.
  • Develop forward-looking views of expected loss, repayment failures, delinquency transitions, and write-offs, and creating feedback loops with product/risk decisions.
  • Working closely with regional teams to inform our market launch strategy.
  • Own the Credit analytics data strategy: define the roadmap for the datasets, dashboards and tools needed to scale decision-making; ensure consistent definitions, documentation and data quality.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team: coaching, prioritisation, raising analytical quality, and hiring as the team grows.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • 6 years + experience in data analytics with significant experience in economics/finance/risk/fraud/portfolio management/investing modelling or credit.
  • A strong understanding of the credit ecosystem, including risk assessment and the economics of different credit products.
  • Strong technical skills: SQL experience working with large datasets and building data pipelines.
  • A structured, pragmatic approach to 0→1 work: you can set up measurement, define what “good” looks like, and drive progress without perfect information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management with a proven track record to influence across disciplines, and able to protect focus to maximise impact.

What Do We Offer

  • Salary: £105,000 - £150,000
  • Company Restricted Stock Units
  • Numerous great benefits in our London office

Key Benefits

  • Hybrid working
  • Paid annual holiday, sick days, parental leave and other leave opportunities
  • 6 weeks of paid sabbatical after 4 years at Wise on top of annual leave
