The SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the functional design, solution architecture and delivery oversight of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning solutions at enterprise scale. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to define and shape manufacturing operating models, translating production and planning requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned to best practices and fit‑to‑standard principles. As a Senior Manager, you will act as a functional authority across programmes, ensuring consistency of design, alignment to SAP standard, and integration across supply chain and finance. You will play a key role in driving client outcomes, managing senior stakeholder expectations, and supporting the successful delivery of S/4HANA programmes across all deployment models (on‑premise, private and public cloud).
What will you be doing?
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing solution design across SAP S/4HANA programmes, covering planning, scheduling, execution and integration processes.
- Act as a functional design authority, ensuring consistency, controlled deviation from standard, and alignment to enterprise architecture.
- Define and own the manufacturing operating model and process taxonomy, covering:
- Master Data (Material Master, BOMs, Work Centres, Routings)
- Demand Management and production strategies
- MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Production / Process Orders and execution
- Capacity planning and shopfloor control
- Drive fit-to-standard workshops, challenging legacy manufacturing processes and steering stakeholders towards standard SAP solutions.
- Provide functional leadership on S/4HANA manufacturing capabilities, including embedded analytics, Fiori applications and integration with advanced planning solutions (e.g., IBP, PP/DS).
- Design and govern integrated manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless interaction with MM, SD, QM, EWM and FI/CO.
- Oversee data migration strategy and design for production master data and transactional data.
- Define functional requirements for enhancements, integrations and reporting, and provide design governance across build activities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership (Operations, Supply Chain, IT), translating complex manufacturing requirements into business-aligned solutions.
- Lead and support pre-sales and business development, contributing to proposals and client conversations with strong manufacturing domain credibility.
- Build and develop teams, mentoring consultants and strengthening manufacturing capability within the practice.

Functional & Solution Skills
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing / Production Planning (PP) across core functional areas.
- Strong experience designing and implementing end-to-end manufacturing processes, including:
- Production planning and demand management
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Production / process order execution and confirmations
- Capacity planning and scheduling
- Shopfloor integration and control
- Strong understanding of manufacturing master data structures and their impact across planning and execution.
- Deep knowledge of integration points across supply chain and finance, including MM, SD, QM, EWM and FI/CO.
- Proven experience leading SAP Activate and fit-to-standard workshops in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to define functional architecture and manufacturing operating models, not just solution configuration.
- Strong understanding of S/4HANA manufacturing capabilities and innovations, including planning and analytics.
Experience
- Extensive SAP ERP experience, with a strong focus on Manufacturing / Production Planning on S/4HANA.
- Proven experience as a functional lead / solution architect across complex S/4HANA implementations.
- Delivery of multiple full lifecycle S/4HANA PP implementations (design through to go‑live).
- Strong track record in:
- Leading manufacturing design workshops with senior stakeholders.
- Translating operational requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Designing enterprise-level manufacturing operating models.
- Experience managing multi-stream project delivery and cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management, with ability to engage at Operations / COO / Supply Chain leadership level.
- Experience in manufacturing industries with complex production environments.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to simplify complex manufacturing challenges into structured solutions.
