We are looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer to join the Account Setup team. The team is responsible for making our customers’ first experience with Wise easy, simple and delightful. We build systems and experiences that scale onboarding across the world, working with many teams to welcome and introduce customers to Wise’s offerings and help them solve cross‑currency needs. As an engineer on this team, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the experience of 1.3 million users a month.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product, design, analytics and other teams to deliver impactful customer experiences.
- Own the overall health and quality of apps and services that power Wise’s registration experience.
- Plan, scope and build consistent experiences across Wise’s web and native applications.
- Work with leads and senior peers to own availability, scalability and technical roadmap of onboarding product flows and architecture.
- Influence broader Wise product and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with sister teams to drive cross‑team technical initiatives that scale the registration experience.
Qualifications
- Experience building and designing scalable systems, ideally using React‑based frontends and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with modern frontend testing: e2e, visual regression, Jest, Cypress, Chromatic, or similar.
- Experience working with APIs and backend services.
- Experience with CI tools and package management (e.g., pnpm, Artifactory, GitHub Actions).
- Experience collaborating with backend engineers on architecture and API design.
- Strong product mindset and passion for UX; prioritise work that benefits customers and make data‑driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Bonus
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js, SSR, Turborepo or monorepos.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architectures or microfrontends.
