You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality external financial reporting, including statutory and group accounts, setting up and enhancing reporting processes, ensuring compliance, and aligning financial and risk disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality external financial reporting and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
  • Set up and improve external reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely outputs.
  • Collaborate with the Risk team to reflect risk profile in reporting.
  • Manage and develop accounting policies, act as technical expert on accounting matters, including debt, complex transactions, and judgemental areas.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on interpretation and application of accounting standards.
  • Monitor accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and oversee preparation and filing with regulatory bodies and investors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in partnership with transformation teams.
  • Manage financial risk and maintain alignment with compliance functions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring of the finance department.
  • Lead cross‑functional stakeholder engagement and provide strategic financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience owning technical accounting processes within a complex organization, including multi‑entity statutory reporting.
  • Experience in FinTech or EMI is desirable; understanding of electronic money regulations and reporting environments.
